ABOUT THE ROLE
The Kalya Sales Representative supports the Kalya Sales Department and is responsible for maintaining sales accounts. Based out of Southern California and should have established account relationships in Sand Diego County & OC County, and parts of LA County.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primary Territory: San Diego County & OC County, Parts of LA County
- Help Senior Sales Representative maintain Sales Accounts within the Southern California (Thousand Oaks/Santa Barbara up to San Luis Obispo)
- Keep up to date with required KPI's
- Focus on PADS and sales
- Take Messages, make cold calls for Rep.
- Wednesday/Thursdays/Fridays - Out on the field, PAD’s (Demo’s) as needed
SECONDARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help and execute direction from Senior Sales Representative
- Help Senior Sales Representative meet assigned daily/weekly/monthly/annual/quarterly sales goals.
- Willingness to train in brand and products.
- Emails, Calls, Notes - You will be keeping up to date with sales intake.
- Setup Sales invoice and email to Buyer. Keep up to date on delivery and follow through until order has gone through. Communicate if there will be any delays or missing items in the order.
- Comfortable public speaking to general employees, managers and customers.
- Contact clients via direct or cold calling.
- Speak to new stores, in progress and prospecting stores to gain a relationship with the Buying Manager.
- Help Sales Representative to provide weekly reports on Sales and Clients.
- Provide in store trainings, demos, events.
- Train and stay up to date on leading Cannabis products, news and events.
- Train in sales - Setting up a new customer and sale in system.
- Train in taking over existing sales accounts and boosting relationships and sales.
- Attend social events in the industry.
- Work directly with Sales Rep to work on plans to benefit the brand, products, sales and marketing.
- Must have knowledge of current cannabis regulations in California.
- Happy, positive, upbeat and outgoing attitude.
- Ability to self-motivate and pursue goals and tasks.
- Transporting marketing materials and supplies to and from office to storefronts/offices. Ability to be trusted to handle and manager market/promotional materials.
JOB BASE LOCATION: Southern California. Based upon training and events, you may be required to drive around the North Bay Area to meet and pop up at storefronts with the Sales Representative. This may also allow/require work on the go or from home. Candidate must be flexible for this position.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES - REQUIRED
- Happy, Positive and Outgoing attitude at work.
- Experience in the Cannabis Industry/Knowledge.
- Experience using a CRM system (can train if needed)
- Ability to take direction and execute.
- Ability to report and keep up to date with tasks and goals.
- Social Media & Digital Marketing Knowledge
- Ability to negotiate and communicate efficiently with store buyers and other Sales Representatives.
- Team player.
- Must have reliable transportation (Will be reimbursed for any out of office mileage).
- Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Must have a smart phone (cell phone stipend provided)
This is a full time, exempt position located based in Southern California.
Starting pay range is $36,400-$62,400 annually.
